Mithlesh Shyam is a Gond painting artist by profession. He would like to take the legacy of his ancestors to great heights. His grandfather, Jangarh Shyam, is his inspiration. Remembering his early days, he found the role of his grandfather very important in shaping his career. His grandfather guided him through his career and he started visiting art exhibitions. Mithlesh Shayam used to give his prime focus on paintings, sometimes even forsook his school homework for the sake of that. A few years later, at an art festival, Pragati Maidan, he naively submitted a painting of a crocodile and earned a remuneration of 200 rupees. This incident gave him hope and his mind to choose it as a profession. He said that he doesn’t know whether it was greed or his interest in paintings that made him opt for Gond paint as a career. He then got a proper training of three months in the year 2005 from ‘Triphade Bhopal.’ That is how he made his mark in this field and earned name and respect.
